Wedding Registry 101

Make gift registry easy and simple for your guest, to celebrate with gifts that reflect your personality as a couple. Not sure where to being when setting out to create this list? Here are some wedding registry 101 tips to get you started.

1) Start early, this is something you can get off your check list ASAP, and allows more time for choosing items as needs arise.

2) Look for special program or features. An ultimate gift card is great for guest who are not sure what to get the couple. Everyone can contribute together and the couple can use on their honeymoon, to pay off any account still owed for the wedding,  to pay to have the dress preserved, or order extra photos that they loved. This is also great for couples who have everything they need, or who have been living together for some time. These couples will have almost everything they need.

3) Register together, so you both can get items that will be part of your new life together. Maybe you like to make Margaritas. Asking for a blender may just be the perfect gift, and you could use it at the reception. Choosing different price points is a good idea. The economy is tough right now, and your guest may want to get you a great gift, but may have to budget for it.

4) Picture frames and picture books are a great gift to put all your new photos in. You will want to display them around your home, and now is a good time to suggest these as a gift.

5) If you are not taking a honeymoon for a delayed period of time, travel bags would be another great gift!

6) If you purchased the Wedding Dress Shopping 101 booklet, and you want to preserve your dress with our tips, you could add to your registry a special decorated box to put your gown in.
